Used in testing apparatus of insulation
Cold Cathode lamps can be powered by either "high" or "low" voltage transformers, depending on the job requirements. Neon power supply.
High voltage transformers can run a greater total length of Cold Cathode lamps, upto 20 meters per transformer. They are more bulky than low voltage versions and are therfore situated remotely. A high voltage transformer can be situated upto 20 meters from the lamps, subject to the resistance of the cable.
Both low and high voltage transformers are dimmable and fully compatible with most lighting control systems. All transformers come with built-in Open Circuit and Earth Leakage protection.
Siet Transformer (High Voltage) - 10000v - 50mA - 230V - 50HZ.
Dimmable with ALL types of domestic and hard-fired dimmer.
Self resetting, short circuit and overload protection.
Terminal covers and cable clamps.
Can be used internally or externally due to the waterproof casing.

These high-voltage transformers were commonly used in amateur spark stations. The primary is keyed via the AC line and the secondary to the closed circuit with a charging condenser and a rotary spark gap. For a 0.5 kW transformer, the secondary voltage is typically 12 kV. The sliding section moves a portion of the core in and out for adjusting the curren capability and resulting power output.
Linear voltage distribution across transformer secondary coils.
